SOS Help Me!!!!

Hello everyone, i got a problem...i am suppose to be in the last camp and i was wondering is anyone at all could do a switch....i know this is kinda a short notice but i am really hoping someone is kind enough to do the stwitch with me....it is really important and i hope Nate, Ila and Mr G could help me out there...my main worries is that there might not be enough people in the last camp to help...so...please help me by giving me some suggestions thank you :(

this is TECHNO

hi there!
that idea of mr. G's is kindofa great too. finally we have something besides the lame photocopied notes. a cd full of notes, articles, n ... all this while i was thinking there was nothing great in utm inspite of the engineering programmes to reflect that we r studying in a techno varsity. then, now we have a chance to have our notes in a cd form, this is really, something cool. that beats the sspt subjects too! yeah, anyway, someone has to start first, right? thanks to Mr G. (clap, clap)

Notes for Language Game Class

1. Sorry, I am not giving my note for free.

SONGS FOR THE CAMP

Language Camp Tango

by Kenneth, Syaharil, Nurizah and Masdini

We come from far to gather here to be together
To learn and play with one another friends forever
In this camp we learn the language to be better
It is so easy if we learn it all together

Learning is fun I am sure you will believe me
Throw your fears behind we will learn it for free
It is so easy I will try to make you see
This camp will help you learn it better you will see ( X2)

[My Comment: Each verse is too long. You should have no more than 5 words in a line. Make it easier to memorize and a little bit catchy. And one more thing... add a solo rap session into it. Yo!]

Ain't No Mountain High Enough

Now if you need me
Call me
No matter where you are
No matter how far
Don’t worry baby
Just call out my name
I’ll be there in a hurry
You don’t have to worry

CHORUS:
‘Cause baby, there ain’t no mountain high enough
Ain’t no valley low enough
Ain’t no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you, babe

Remember the day
I set you free
I told you, you could always count on me, darling
And from that day on
I made a vow
I’ll be there when you want me
Some way, some how

CHORUS

And no wind (no wind)
And no rain (no rain)
Or winter’s cold
Can stop me, baby (oh baby)
‘Cause if you’re ever in trouble
I’ll be there on the double
Just send for me, baby
Oh baby

My love is alive
Deep down in my heart
Although we’re miles apart
If you ever need
A helping hand
I’ll be there on the double
Just as fast as I can

CHORUS

Ain’t no mountain high enough
Ain’t no valley low enough
Ain’t no river wide enough
To keep me from you

Ain’t no mountain high enough
Ain’t no valley low enough
Ain’t no river wide enough
To keep me from you

Ain’t no mountain high enough
Nothing can keep me
Keep me from you (X2)

Ain’t no mountain high enough
[My comment: I love this song. Keep it]

Three Little Ducks

Three little ducks that I once knew,
fat ones, skinny ones, two by two.
But the one little duck with a feather on his back,
he ruled the others with his Quack! Quack! Quack!
Down by the river they would go,
wibble wabble wibble wabble to and fro.
But the one little duck with a feather on his back.
He ruled the others with his Quack! Quack! Quack!

[My comment: I like this song. It's funny.]

My Hat It Has Three Corners

My hat it has three corners
Three corners has my hat
And had it not three corners
It could not be my hat
Repeat: Omit Hat
My … it has three corners
Three corners has my …
Repeat: Omit Three
Repeat Omit Corners

[My comment: An okay song.]

You Are My SunshineNorman Blake
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away (X3)

[My comment: Short and sweet. This is a nice song]

RED RIVER VALLEY

From this valley they say you are leaving
We shall miss your bright eyes and sweet smile
For you take with you want of the sunshine
That is brightened our pathway a while

*Then come and sit by my side if you love me
Do not hasten to bit me adieu
Just remember the red river valley
And the friends who have loved you so true

For a long time my darling I'm with you
For the sweeper you never would say
Now at last you're my thumper that valleies
For they say that you're going away (Repeat *)

[My comment: I hate this song. Omit it]

Calorie-burning activities
Proper weight control cannot be attained by dieting alone; however, many people who are engaged in sedentary occupations do not realize that calories can be burned by the hundreds by engaging in strenuous activities that do not require much (or any) physical exercise.

Here's the guide to calorie-burning activities and the number of calories per hour they consume.

Beating around the bush . . . . . . . . .75
Jumping to conclusions . . . . . . . . . 100
Climbing the walls . . . . . . . . . . . 150
Swallowing your pride. . . . . . . . . .50
Passing the buck . . . . . . . . . . . .25
Pushing your luck. . . . . . . . . . . 250
Making mountains out of molehills. . . 500
Hitting the nail on the head . . . . . .50
Bending over backwards . . . . . . . . .75
Running around in circles. . . . . . . 350
Climbing the ladder of success . . . . 650

There there!

Syarul dear dont upset with the whole thing...i know your story in Australia and i understand you very well! But plEase remember this, we are ALL learning...and this is a proses. We are not as fortunate as you to have the experience of being Dowm Under and i feel for you, it was suppose to be the best experience for you yet due to some attitude problem of certain people you never really enjoy that victory of yours. You mean well and i know that as you want all of us to work really well as not to make those participants feel unappriciated...thats really sweet of you...but really Syarul dont take it so hard and please dont take it out on our coursemates, this for most of us is a beginning of many graet things to come! Those organizers in Australia , they probably do this kind of things all the time so they are profesional at what they do...i believe no one started perfect...it is through learning experience like this that we learn from each other and improve ourselves....as for your not so sweet experience in Australia...i only have to say this..."bitter experience is like a handful of sand ,letting would risk you of losing it, yet holding on to tight hurts"...buang yang keroh, ambil yang jernih...you need not have to suffer and dwell on the bad things that happens to you, focus on the better things in life because there are just to many bad things in life to think about and life is just too short for all those "what if"s and "how it could be"s or "how it should be"s....yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not for certain, live today to its fullest! *Muaks!* Let us all give Syarul a group hug!!!!

3 weeks 2 go!!!

So guys are you prepared already for the next camp?...we better be cause this time we need to make it more fun than before and people are watching us…I think we still have time management problems and we really need to fix that as soon as possible…we need to train our self and focus on it…I know it’s a game but we are not the ones who will be playing it…it’s like the Amazing Race (the real one not for our camp)…you only know the contestant part but you don’t know how difficult to run the thing and that would be the organizers part…it’s the same thing like us, we are the organizer and we need to make sure things run smoothly…some of us would put the ego part a little bit higher than the normal level because WE ARE THE FACILITATOR…now that’s wrong, we cannot ‘berlagak’ cause we can speak English better than the participant…my point is, we are helping them out in this English situation and we are the role models…if we act like bunch of maniacs we will get no respect…it’s just a matter of we’re good in the English field but the attitude, SUCKS!!! We need to do this professionally and don’t think about yourself only…we’re in a big group and we need each other in this situation…we need to make sure that we will also have a good time and be serious on what we’re doing…some of us just do it for the MARKS, MONEY, and I don’t know…if you have that attitude, throw it away, doing a good thing is hard and you don’t get the reward just right after doing it, but in the future, insya’Allah…i've been in that situation before and i think you guys have been too...i know that we’re still a student but you just need to think more than that…I hope that the next camp would be more exciting than before and let us make it like we have never made a language camp before…YYYYYEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Hello people!!!

Hi people!how's everything?well, some of us are going back to our hometwon now!!As for me, I'll be happy with my pillows in Melana for the rest of the week.Anyway, how's the assignments guys!too busy to talk now huh?I was so frustrated this morning because I woke up late for the 9 o'clock meeting for the language game session. All my housemates pretend that there is no meeting as I was taking my shower and shouting my lungs out (a call for them to wake up!)Well, they obviously won the gimic!Anyway, how was the session?enjoy yourselves?By the way, is there anyone here be kind enough to borrow me his/her walkman just for one day....I really need it for the discourse..I hope someone outhere can really lend a hand for this....anyway, hope everything will be fine..ta.ta..And oh ya....remember to drop by my page and if it really bothers you; do at least wirte something here....it's not healthy to talk all by yourself ,you know...
p/s: Like what Mr. G said to someone we know...."Don't let your ideas rust in your head. Pour them on your blog."

i have a busy life......

what a busy life i have right now......lots and lots of work need to be done and due dates to be catched. i think that you guys also have the same problems. well, supposingly, this gameplan is to talk about the language camp and the works that to be done before and after tha camp right. just wanna share that tomorrow i'll be going to mersing to survey the place together with ila, adam and dr.norazman. i hope that that place will be a better place than kaizen. this morning, we had tested one game to mr.g's uhb students. it was build a tower. well, personally, i think that the game is good but just a suggestion next time we the facis should come out with more challenging tower to be built by the students. it seemed that the towers that they've built this morning were quite simple and easy. we should give them harder than that. ok la no more babling here, got work to complete. that's all pray that the trip will be fun and safe. papai.

A Report from the Medical Unit in Kaizen

During the first language camp of this semester, that was held in Academy Kaizen, Gunung Pulai, Naterah, Kenneth and I were incharged of the medical unit. Before we went off to the camp, we had been notified that medical kits will be provided by HEP, therefore no preparation was made for this unit. Just before we departed, Kenneth gave me his small but complete medical kit, that he was bringing to the camp just in case people from HEP forget to bring it. It seemed that Kenneth instinct was absolutely right. There were no medical kits at all from the HEP. It was very fortunate that Kenneth had made early preparation. However, we had to share one medical kit for male and female participants all time during the whole camp.

In overall, we had four cases of non-emergency medical situation throughout the whole duration of the camp. During the first day, Friday, July 11th, there was no case of participants or facilitators got sick. However, on the second day, Saturday, July 12th one female participant vomited after eating nasi lemak after the morning exercise. Naterah and I took care of her and we gave her suitable medication with "minyak angin cap kapak" to help her losing the feeling of vomiting. We asked her to rest in the room because she was also having headache. After sleeping and resting for a while she was okay and she joined the program again after lunch. Later that night, one of the female facilitators also had stomachache and she stayed in the room with one other facilitator. After resting for a while, she was okay and she joined the program again at 9 pm.

Early in the morning of the last day, Sunday, July 13th, one male participants accidently cut himself when he bumped onto the glass window. He had a small injury across his nose but he was okay. Kenneth helped him to clean up the bleeding and he applied some oinment on the injury. Later, in the morning, one of the male facilitators also got sick but after resting for a while he was okay again.

Although we did not have any emergency cases during the camp, we should be more prepared next time. The only problem was that we were supposed to have enough medical supplies or at least two medical kits, one for girls and one for boys. One more thing is that, facilitators should also know how to handle any common medical situations or at least they have some knowledge on how to handle them. Other than that, everything was okay. For our next camps, hopefully we can confirm with the HEP first about first aid kits, just to make sure, they will bring them. That's all, thanks.

Build-a-Tower

Game Plan: Build-a-Tower by Adila, Daniel and Megat
Duration: 50 – 60 minutes
Participants: Ideally 8 – 10 players in a group.
Facilitations:
a. At least one facilitator to facilitate every group.
b. One head facilitator in charged of the entire game’s process and timing.

Objectives:
By the end of this game;
a. Participants should be able to discuss matters and produce consensus even with physical limitations; of being muted, being blindfolded and being crippled by using any possible ways.
b. Introvert players shall have more chance to speak up and express ideas.
c. Extrovert players shall have more chance to listen up and receive ideas.
d. Participants should be able to build a tower through team collaborations.

Materials:
1. Paper cups
2. Used CDs
3. Cellophane tape
4. Masking tape for plaster
5. Cloth for blindfolding
6. Rope for tying hand

Prior Knowledge:
Students already know how to give simple instructions.

Rules of the Game:
1. The mutes cannot speak, of course. But can still communicate by using sign language.
2. All crippled and blindfolded players can communicate, discuss & give directions to each other.
3. Only the blindfolded players can touch the material, in short, build the bridge.
4. The whole group shall be penalized if any of the rules being violated.

How to Play: Notes
1. Participants are divided into groups with ideally, 8 to 10 players each. This game is a race of which they shall compete in building a tower the fastest. A facilitator is placed in every team to facilitate.2. Each student is labeled as the ‘architect’ (muted), ‘contractor’ (hand-tight) or ‘builder’ (blind-folded).3. After all the materials are given to players, head facilitator shall tell them what to do with the materials given. They shall start simultaneously discussing on how to build a tower.4. The towers are built according to the plan given to the ‘architects’. The architects are supposed to convey the design of the tower through sign language. 5. The ‘contractors’ (hand-tight players) are to interpret the sign-language instructions given by the ‘architects’ and transmit the information to the ‘builders’ verbally.6. Only the ‘builders’ (blindfolded players) can touch the materials to build the tower.7. Winning is determined by two groups that finish build-a-bridge facing each other in the shortest time, following every rule specified.
Total time: 50 – 60 minutes

WAZZZUUPPP, DINI'S BACK IN ACTION!!

Hi and Asalamualaikum. First of all, I would like to congratulate Naterah, my buddy cum my housemates, as she has being chosen as the director of Camp A. Personally, I think she deserved it and to Nate, always remember that we will always be there to support you. As for me, going to next camp is the opportunity that I have to grab since ‘someone’ asked me to ‘improve’ myself there. After the first meeting that day, we have agreed on few things especially on the materials and program books. I will be in charge for the drama title with Lelaki Bidayuh Terakhir a.k.a Damien. Basically, we will have to discuss on the theme that we need to assign the students to act. Apart from that, I will be in team with Syaharil for Checkpoint 5 for the Amazing Race activity. I like my tasks and I hope that I can do well for the next camp. I’m hoping that for the next camp, no power struggling occurs and we can really work in one team and support each other. It’s a good suggestion that we divide the materials for each group earlier before we depart for the camp coz through my experience as the ‘material’ girl in Kaizen, we won’t have enough time to prepare it there since the time is packed with other activities. Ok, till now, good luck to all the TESLians going for the LC and to my partner to be, Mr Royzal, hope you will be happy working with me, your desirable ‘POSH’ he he he…:-p .Bye!!

I'm getting busy with all assignments. What to do???

I'm impressed with some of you who can manage to complete your works on time. For me, every due date is killing me. After the meeting conducted yesterday, I started to rearrange and confusing my mind with such bizarre schedule. I started to search for 'short cuts' and most of them I believe can't be applied with others. What's the point of having meeting and meeting, planning and planning, when the cooperation received and given are less. What's the purpose of giving ideas when they seem surely will be rejected. Then, here, there and here, there...all are negative comments heard and talked. Come on guys, work it out!!! Work your plan and fulfill your promises. Giving ideas needs helping hands too.

Tomorrow. Tomorrow we need to work the plan again. Let's do it again. Some of the works seem to be the same as we have done before. Take it seriously. All camps are related and all of us are one.

See you again surely in class...(if I'm there...hehehe)

hi hi hi

Dear all,
I'm back...but...oh please....what should I write here? Hmmm....I'm eager to get involve in the second language camp that will be held in Sekakap. I've never been there and it's been a long time since my last camp....how I miss the journey...
After our previous meeting yesterday,I can't wait to be at checkpoint number nine....along with Nurie...haha....The treasure Hunt will be amazing....I'll take GOOD CARE of all the participants....

This is interesting....I think everybody's eager to go home this coming holiday....even a friend of mine has left and skipped classes just to spend the holiday with his family members....but guess what....we are not that free...there're assignments that need to be submitted before the holiday begins and a number of tests and assignments also need to be considered after we're coming back from our hometown.....I believe that I have to sacrifice my holidays again this time.....
So many things to do and I don't know where to begin.......huh....
I have to go.....to finish my assignments so that I can spend the holidays with my family....
To those who are going back...happy holiday.....
take care.

A Cat's Diary

Hey people, I found this and it is so dead-funny!It's just similar to what we write in our journal. Well, here goes nothing...

Day 751: My captors continue to torment me with bizarre dangling objects. They eat lavish meals in my presence while I am forced to subsist on dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of eventual escape -- that, and the satisfaction I get from occasionally ruining some piece of their furniture.

I fear I may be going insane. Yesterday, I ate a houseplant. Tomorrow I may eat another.
Mimi Pok Cere

p/s:Be strong guys, the cat is us, the captors are the lecturers and the "bizarre dangling thing" is our assignments..like it or not, we have to go through all of this.

aiii

aii guys..well there's been a lot of talking and comment's done regarding to the latest LC. as for me..because i'm was not there i cannot say much..but all in all you guys rock! you guys have fun..the participants have fun.. and at least some of them tried to speak english by the end of the camp. this is just a plain thing to think..you know teslians are very talented, full of ideas and competitive..yet when we are working together..please try to listen to other people ideas..give chance to other quiet people to contribute in the LC and don't be too authocratic. it is not whose ideas being used or getting applaused but how we co-operate and combine these great ideas and produce a very da vogue the vast LC. anyway to Naterah..do your best..show your talents and you know your friends are always by yur side..
enjoy your holiday and happy transcribing (DA)

ENGLISH LANGUAGE CAMP REPORT: 11-13 JULY 2003

ENGLISH LANGUAGE CAMP REPORT
11-13th JULY 2003

1.0 INTRODUCTION

1.1 Students without credit for English in SPM result have problems to compete with others since their ability to learn is limited to their English language proficiency. The introduction of English medium instruction in 50% of subjects taught in UTM would further challenge the students.
1.2 The English Language Camp program aims to motivate the students to learn English by providing them the confidence to communicate in English. Activities in the Language Camp cater the development of students’ physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual needs in learning. The camp takes the approach of experiential learning where learning English is fun, exciting and interactive.

2.0 OBJECTIVES

2.1 To motivate participants to learn English.
2.2 To foster the love of the English Language.
2.3 To build a conducive environment for language learning.
2.4 To give the opportunities to the facilitators (TESL students) to practice teaching learning theories learnt in class.

3.0 PARTICIPANTS
The participants were 179 students from Kolej Tun Fatimah and Kolej Siswa Desa Skudai. Their names were short listed based on the information from Computer Center Student Information System. At the camp, 81 participants were divided into 9 smaller groups. Each group consisted of 9 participants and was appointed two facilitators. During the camp, several post mortems were held between 12.00 midnight -1.00 a.m. in order to solve minor problems that occur during the day. The final post mortem for this program was held on 16th July 2003 at UTM. Future facilitators for the coming camps also attended this post mortem session.

The Language Camp program was a successful program receiving positive feedbacks from learners. All sub categories were rated between GOOD to EXCELLENT. The learners also felt that the facilitators, though fellow students, were competent enough to handle the project. All sub categories were rated between GOOD to EXCELLENT. The facilities were good enough for them to provide a meaningful camp experience. Except for the toilet facility, which is rated 2.95, all sub categories were rated between GOOD to EXCELLENT. There were several water supply interruptions throughout the camp duration. The participants had ample quality food thus they rated all sub categories between GOOD to EXCELLENT .They understood the objective of the camp and were willing to participate in another camp like this, probably at a different proficiency level. All sub categories were rated between GOOD to EXCELLENT. In short, the camp experience was highly valued by the participants.

11.0 CONCLUSION
As a whole, all the participants seemed satisfied with the camp and they really enjoyed the activities conducted in this program. There are many indications that language games, main activities of the language camp, help students to develop their language skills. It provided learners the opportunities to spontaneously communicate in the target language. The camp offered an enjoyable informal learning atmosphere that banished boredom and promoted motivation to learn. The activities contributed to an atmosphere of healthy competition and provided an outlet for creative use of natural language in a non-stressful situation. Nevertheless, the issue of low attendance needs to be addressed so that resources provided for the future camp are not wasted.

A big project!

Hi people!I am planning on something here. So, all I need is your current picture(nice one...not the boring passport style) and another is your picture when you're still small...I hope everyone gets the idea and just do it. Don't ask!Just do it!It doesn't help even if I say it out loud.. we just don't get the vibe!anyway, I hope you guys will go back this holidays and get your pictures (baby's pic.....ala-sexy with lampin or nothing at all)ok?just hand it to me....ok..I hope I can work it with Shahrul's and evette project.
P/S:I'm a big white vegetarian shark!

POST MORTEM

I really think that we have done a good job for the first language camp. Even though ego may have been bruised, feeling may have been hurt but its still a successful camp. We cannot escape from making mistake because we are only human. It is because we are human that we can learn from our mistake and try to improve ourself from it. During the post mortem for the language camp, many of our fellow tesl students that was not there during the actual language camp thought that the camp is a failure and the fcilitator there hate each other guts, but its actually not true. Post mortem is a medium that we use to improve our mistake. if we have problem that we want to discuss we can do it in the post mortem. Post mortem is not about pointing fingers at each other but to improve our camp and to spill out all the thing that we feel towards each other. If a person make a mistake we must state it out during the post mortem. It's not like we are trying to hurt peoples feeling during the post mortem but we actually need to make them know about their mistake so that they can improve their way of handling thing. People including me always does not notice about the mistake that we have done, so post mortem is a very crucial part that we need to have. If we need to point finger at someone in order to make sure they do not repeat their mistake, so be it. It is better than talking about them from behind, why don't we just tell them straight to their face. Maybe next time we will think carefully before we do or say anything. In the post mortem, its not just about accusing and telling people that they have made mistake but it is actually a medium that we need to use in order to speak out whether it"s a negative or positive feeling so that later we would not linger around thinking of it to much that it might effect our performance. Post mortem can help provide a better view to provide us information about what other people feel. All conflict should be left behind after the post mortem session. If i have done any mistake which i know i've done some, i hope that you guys can forgive me. Good day.

She sells sea shells....

Assalamualaikum Wbt...

Hello guys. I'd been reading to your comments and suddennly I feel that I want to share my thoughts too. I am actually glad to join the ELC last week. I miss my 'children' a lot! A few days back, one of them send me a message - in English. He was actually too ashamed to use the language before the camp. He said that his friends will laugh at him when he tried to use the language. However, after joining the camp, he felt that it is O.K to make mistake rather than not trying to speak in English. He thanks all the facilitators for making him feels that English is fun! I am so glad that he has finally has courage to speak in English. All the credits should be given to Syaril, my 'husband' for 3 days 2 nights there... He's so sensitive with the 'children' and always keep on track with the changes that had occured along the camp. We always discuss with each other on how to make this one talk and this one to shut up... hehehehehe... Thank you Syaril...
To Naterah (NateS) and Ila (Air Tawar Gurl), good luck and I know that you guys will be a good leader to the rest of us...

hi everybody! i think that iam qquite a little bit late to talk about previous language camp in kaizen. however, i still want to talk about it. it was fun! congratulations to all the facis and lecturers. i just cannot believe myself that i've managed to facilitate university students. i think that every facis have their own unique way and of course very special one in order to facilitate their own group. no need to pinpoint or blame anybody coz everybody have done such a great job. nice and valuable experience i,ve managed to acquire at the camp. enough talking about something that already past.....now i would like to talk about this coming camp. first of all, thank you so much to everybody for selecting as new director for replacing Syahrul in the next camp. really appreciated it. i hope that i manage to carry and fulfill all the tasks with help from you guys. we've done our first meeting today...and i really hope that all of us can work together as a strong team work. all of us should contribute something for both camps. it does not matter which camp you go, the one that matter is that we manage to work and cooperate with each other as a TESL family. we better make our camps the best ever than we ever had before. i pray for that, hope you guys do the same thing too. ok, i need to finish my assignment, MR.G had remind us not to use language game as the reason for not completing your assignments right... so, that's all for now...till we meet again in class and another meetings. adios guys. TESL rock bebeh!! ;p

hi there! it's about our irony holiday!

hi there everyone!
then, the holidays are very near. i bet everyone must be busy doing their assignments as fast as possible to enjoy the holidays. suddenly, holidays seem to be very precious to me. ahh. during the 3 months holidays it was quite boring. when the classes has started, i tend to miss holidays. what an irony?ok la. even it is gonna be for one week only, i think i am very grateful as finally, i have some space of time to exhale and inhale freely and as long as i want, but still within one week holiday. well guys, do you what's the worst part of our holiday this time? all of us must be busy doing our discourse analysis asignment!!! ahahahaha what do u guys think?

I DONT CARE!

you are being decieved by the sensational headline above. I just want to draw your attention, since, there is tendency that people will not read a long written posting. so, there goes the strategy. Is it just me or???? My points for this posting are:

What i like about the camp.
1) On stage performance by the cool, lively and energitic "facis". Feel like "The Supreme in the making".

2) I enjoyed the character poem and making cheer activiticy where it is a bit of come-down activity for the others.

3) Do you know that i have improved much on my people skill in the camp especially during the treasure hunt activity. I had a good time "Throwing stones into the participants' WATER-TAKER (a tease for ROY) together with kak Cicah.

cant think of any ideas anymore! but am gonna end this by telling you my resolution for the next camp. "I am gonna ROCK the camp, baby". :P (yelah tu!)

au revoir!

Mr. G, do read my latest post at my blogspot as I also need your own view too, thank you very much.

games..games..language games?

The full report of the language camp has finished. let see what i want to talk for each games ;)

There are eight games that were selected for this camp. These games focused on different areas of language learning such as vocabulary, listening skill, identifying parts of speech etc. The briefing for each games are stated as follows:
· Flip-A-Card
The materials for this game are well prepared. This game focusing on vocabulary, which requires the participants to state name of countries, animal, verb, adjectives, fruits and vegetables according to the chosen alphabet. The strength of this game is that is easy to play, participant’s can easily understand about this game. The negative side of this game is that it is quite boring, because the participant’s just need to flip a card and they just choose between the two alphabet that was selected based on the cards that they chosen.

Most of the groups did not have ample time to play this game. This is because the participants do not easily understand this game. The confusing part is when the time we as facilitators need to give them marks. But there are still groups that manage to play this game and they did not face any problems regarding this game.

· Snap
The participants easily understood this game. They also seem to compete with each other to get the marks for their group. For the selection of words, this game has chosen two words from different categories that can build another one meaningful word when it combines together. This game took a short time to end, as the participants already know the word that they are going to ‘snap’.

· Othello
The preparation for this game took a long time. This game needs at least 16 participants in order to work and been played successfully. This game focused on vocabulary, which requires the participants to know the synonyms, antonyms, homonyms for each word. But there is a suggestion to change the way we play this game to the “Dam Haji” because the participants are more familiar with this game. The successful part for this game is that the participants manage to answer most of the questions correctly.

· Sentence Scrabble
This game focusing on builds a sentence by identifying the category of word based on its parts of speech. This is the only game that focused on sentence level and the participants manage to builds sentences based on the categories that they were ask to. They also need to move around to find words that have high marks with their friends in order to win this game.

· Home Sweet Home
This game is similar with the ”Win, Lose or Draw”, so the participants easily understand this game. But this game only focuses on one category that is home appliances. Maybe after this we can add more categories. This is because some of the facilitators need to add words at the end of the session because the finish all the cards in a short time.

· Build-A-Bridge
As for the initial part of this game, it looks like quite messy because of the materials. Some of the facilitators also still did not understand on how to play this game. The facilitator in charge takes time to explain the rules of the game, how to play this game to the facilitators and the participants, and the game start quite late. This game also need quite a lot of staff such as old newspapers, straw, binding tape and rope. Maybe after this we can come out with the simplify version of Buil-A-Bridge.

· Bingo
This game only function as a filler game, as we did not play this game. This game is really suitable to be play in order to fill the gap between activities.

THE BIG WORD: ATTITUDE

Well, I feel that the language camp is indeed an "eye-opener" for many of us. We get to know how people work, what kind of attitude they have, and what kind of leader they are. In short, we see a lot of things closer and deeper.

I just want to highlight one point here: Whatever that we do, it is our attitude that counts the most. There is a saying like this: OUR ATTiTUDE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN OUR APTITUDE. There are many talented and gifted people out there who are not successful in their lives. The reason is simple. They may know a lot of things but their attitude sucks. One of the major differences between those who have a form of success and those who truly win in every area of life is their attitude. If you have a positive attitude, you will not let circumstances take you captive and control your life, but you will use trials and troubles to yield the fruit of success. Someone who has a positive attitude and is able to "think big" will never under the circumstances but will always on top of them. A person with character and positive attitude will turn every adversity into opportunity. When he encounters problems, he will not complain or point fingers at anyone. He knows that problems are meant to be solved and he will see solutions more than the problems.

I believe we can produce a totally different result (a better one of course) in the next camp if we are able to show positive attitude during the camp. Remember this, we have a lot of talented people in our TESL class. However, nothing is more common than unsuccessful men/women with talent.

Do you have anything to say?

Bravo..!!

Hoye hoye..
Wow...B to B+! Well, every single one of us have to admit that it's not that bad for a camp that was filled with a lot of first timer like me, CC, Ken (and the rest). One thing for sure, (for me) we did it very well. Apart from some 'management' problem that happened, most of the students enjoy it. Plus, remember that they even requested for the program to be longer.
Well, since the camp is over, I think its better for us to put aside those 'beef' among each other. Like Syarul said, let us think back of the objectives in the first place. We are not competing to be the best faci among each other right? Aren't we? So, I think if we keep condemming on peoples' flaws and mistakes, we're not going anywhere. We ARE learning. It's just the nature of it. So, as Gina said, and I quote, it's better for us to respect each other. Some people may have some weaknesses, but that does not mean that he or she is useless or something like it. There's got to be something inside us that is worth to be shared.
Anyway, when I read my message from the participants; I know when they promised to learn English better, I'm pretty much sure that I must have done something right. Whatever it is, I just can't wait to go for the next camp. (Funny eh for somewan that used to avoid any kind of responsibilities for all of you)
Lastly, sorry again if I ever offended anyone during our 2 days stay there. Thanks also for the moments. I'll never forget it. Now, if you excuse me I have a heck load of assignments to do. God speed to all of us.

THUMBS UP & B+

Congratulation everyone... thumbs up for the first camp facis and ADD ONE MORE, a B to B+ camp.

I am afraid of repeating the same points of comments and critics as mentioned in those post mortems. However the SENTENCE SCRABBLE here is more likely to be the same repetition of congratulating and dissatifying. Please mix and SNAP all the comments to be better for the next camp. Be prepared to all the team A members. Good luck to our new director... NATERAH! We will always give you good support. BUILD-A-BRIGDE wisely with all the facis and all coming participants. They won't be the same. FLIP A CARD slowly one by one in chosing the best solution and outcomes. Team A members, what ever and how ever Kaizen was being commented, there will be our HOME SWEET HOME again for another three days.

Trying my best to be prepared physically and mentally.
Joining big program is receiving 'big comments and heart risks'!!!
Good luck to myself and all of you!

Add One More story, please.....

Wow, it seems that everybody is in full gear, trying to finish everything at the same time. I know all of us are practically busy with our own business but hey!….the blogger web is getting fuller and fuller with our comments as I surf it day by day. Hmm.., which means that everybody is trying their best to publish their story, eh? Ey, so do I!

I sure enjoy myself reading your stories about the previous language camp. Although I wasn't there but my English spirit was with you guys hahaha! Reading about your stories makes me wonder how would it be when my time arrives since I've never joined any language camp before. Wish me luck!

Today I just wanted to say my zillion thanks to all the people, including YOU who are currently reading this God-knows-what story. Thanx for being extremely supportive towards our simple, sometimes tricky sometimes not game, Add One More, by sharing your thoughts on how to improve the game. Gee…I’d never forget the moments when you guys tried really hard to make the game better. Did you, the facis play our game? Wow, I sure hope you didn't encounter such similar confusions with the participants.

You know what? I must admit that it did feel different that day….oh you know, I used to be among the spectators, keeping my thoughts to myself, then suddenly I was standing in front of the class listening to you coming out with this superb genius ideas for us. Hahaha…don’t worry, that didn’t annoy me much, but rather an interesting experience to improve my understandings of English. I know I can count on the TESLians for help, right?

I'm really looking forward to hear more of your language camp stories, and I know you guys are eager to tell as well. Tell me more, just like Add One More!!!1

HI...

Language Camp anyone?......
I heard a lot of interesting stories from you (the facis) about the language camp in Camp Kaizen...it's nice to know that everyone's having a good time....such a waste that I was not one of those lucky lads and ladies....

Thanks to the Almighty that nothing bad happened to any of you......perhaps there's some flaws here and there...but believe me...just learn from our mistakes.....experience is our best 'teacher'.

As I said earlier...we work as a group and everybody tries to contribute their best for the group....and....there's no need to smash others in order to be accepted....when we are being commented...don't give up...just look at the good side of it....different people see differently....thus.....we must always remember that...comment is not just a comment....why can't we just contribute something to make for example a game or activity planned more interesting to all?....it's worth the effort.....

That's all for now guys.......I have to start surfing.......
Adios Amigos

congratulation!!!!

i heard a lot about the language camps.... congratulation to all of the facis and all of the friends who help in the working session.... i still upset for not going ya know.... i mean, i really wanted to go, bit then something turn up that made me not go.... so, everything going fine, guys? the game, the participants, the song, and everything? i really looking forward to go to the next language camp....
hm, the working session... a big thanks to everyone who came and did a great job.... we stayed in that room for almost the whole day, right... and we finally get everything done.... thanks to syarul, daniel, farrah, diyah, dihah, nater, shued, dini, caroline, willie, evette, adam, kenneth, roy and the others with the name do not mention over here.... it's great to have time like that again...i mean, after 3 years of being teslian and now we are again doing something TOGETHER.... thanks guys for the memory.....
ehem ehem... "i wanna make you holler holler! imagine us together..
dont be afraid to play language games.."
YESSS! HELLO EVERYONE! how do you do?
iam glad to post my second intelligent thang' in this MR.G's creative effort. THANK YOU MR. G.

Language Camp is "la puerta" to all of us who want to improve the second language. I like to teach those participants to be able to motivate themselves in speaking the language. This is what i do best. As teachers make the camp as a gateway of self-learning and evaluations towards better teaching professionalism (i bet Syarul agree with me here) as well as for the participants, it is thier gateway of opportunity in belieiving themselves to be an English speaker. They need to be fostered to say"YES! I CAN SPEAK ENGLISH NO MATTER WHAT" or "SPEAK ENGLISH OR DIE!!" as what had been said by my group during drama action and the speaker got killed because he suddenly in the end, spoke "sekian terima kasih". My team was allright and i received a lot of feedbacks positively from thier heart. This is what i like BEST!!. Those feedbacks written in small torn pices of papers are my motivation or wages for my effort. Pals, this is our fuel for future camp. Get the motivation form there ok!. Thanks for all who came to the camp and i believe we need to hope for our friends out there who really trying hard to at least speak a word of English everyday. GOOD LUK TO ALL THE PARTICIAPNTS OF 11-13TH OF JULY CAMP!! :) My role for the upcoming camp will be the same but with better intention and ambitious hope as well as my second camp committee members under once again Mr.Syarul. MAY GOD BLESS US FOR THE SECOND CAMP AS WE STRIVE HIGH TO BRING ALL THE GAMES INTO PLAY AND FOR THE PARTICIPANTS TO DIGEST THE BENEFITS OF THE LANGUAGE ITSELF AS IT IS SO IMPORTANT AS WELL IN SPEAKING THE LANGUAGE FOR ONE'S FUTURE AND BETTER LIFE..AMIN.

second camp, here OOPS! I GO AGAIN!

Someone 've sent the same thing to us...

well, people...this someone is too lazy to write and somehow sent the same thing or rather just greetings to every single soul (just that he changed the names)..And, it's so lame short...I think he should try harder...I believe there is no point of sending messages if you really don't have any issue to talk about...YOU'RE wasting my time......too bad...well, someone have to say something...in this case..i'll be the spokeperson....he..he..wicked.....well, try your best not to come to people's page and yagged about " I think there's nothing interesting topic you have here ...why don't you..yagged-yagged'..is that the best you can say to a person....interpersonal?It is so last year....*yawn*..anyway, I am just saying this to make sure every message or writing is worth watching and reading...chow da mow...

eagerly wait for another camp!

hi guys...

as the first camp i considered as successfully end, now i'm eagerly waiting for the coming language camp..it's really fun..i really have a good time with u guys there except for the part that there's no water and electricity...apart from that, everything went on well.i really want to take a chance here to apologize with you guys if im didn't much help you..from my side i think that i didn't contribute much for this camp..i accept for any blame from u guys for my weaknesses during this camp.

'Esprit de Corps' this is my group's name...what do you think of their performance? one thing that i feel happy about them is that i can see their improvement within 2 days..that's really a good thing, right? Teslian agree?

as for the games, the preparation for the build-a-bridge was really cost us time...
i mean, even we as the facis took time to understand the game, and when it turns to the participants, they seem 'blurred' at first, fortunately they understand and all the groups manage to build a bridge that last for 10 seconds! they also enjoy to sing the 'hat' song and unlucky for us we didn't manage to teach them all the song in their booklet...maybe after this we should reduce the number of song for each camp, and the songs should be shorter and more cathcy..anyone agree with me?

ok, let's work for another language camp and we'll make sure that the coming language camp will be better than last time.

well..whatever...

well, I'm sure someone have to explain something?!!And I am sure again, there will never be just "a person" or "that person"'s faults..Always blame it to the beaver!!?whatever people...
p/s:kennie chong.....a "pakcik" always a "pakcik" .someday soon....there's nothing to be mad of...well, in my case; I will never accept it..I will slaughter that kid.

What is your feelings during this final year?

Hai people. Glad to join all of you. I just received the invitation from En ghazali. Guys, i want to ask all of you. What is your feelings during this final year? I just want to share something with you and need your opinions. I do know why? But i feel a bit demotivated to learn. Not like the first three years. I am bored with all the assignment plus the PSM. I know that i should be strong since this is the last year for us. But this feelings (boredom) keep haunting me. Can you guys give some opinoin or ways to avoid this feelings.
So, i heard that most of you went to Language Camp in Gunung Pulai. How was it. Do all of you enjoy yourself? How was the students?

Ayo yo..Tangeche...

Good Morning everyone....Well, it seems like everyone is blogging in during Miss Fatimah 's class..bad..bad...anyway, tangeche uppu/carol.."rumber nalla".....well, You don't have to mentioned just"how many" journal have you wrote....it's not practical and "duh"...people won't misscount your inputs...anyway...chow da mow!!!

uh huh!

Aiya...Nate sorry! Forgotten about you! Yes dear we did it! So much for my disappointment and frustration! We did great did we not! ITS awesome yaa! Three hampers! Phew! Thank you for being understanding and so supportive! and to Sham you were greee-at! And you know what i felt that too, who we are are what more often how people choose to see us and when we live up to it, we become that person may it be good or bad! When i was at my practical, teachers keep telling me how good i am and how talented i am and slowly i believed in it and became that person that they "want" me to be!You know what i mean...but dont ever lost sight the ground that you walk on and always be down to earth most importantly remember that all good things come from HIM!

Hello I'm Here!

To everyone out there hi and welcome...yup its amazing how time flies now its tuesday and just a few days ago i was experiencing things that i cannot forget for the rest of my life...i just wanna say a big sorry to all of you at the language camp for being pain in the neck! I thought alot about my attitude and i felt that i was being selfish! The reason for me being not me at the camp had nothing to do with the place the food or the participants but rather my own judgement of other people, in simple words...i was not satisfied with the attitude of some people, but this is really not their fault and i was being "over" i should had taken a different view and see things differently...next was because i was tired most of the time i did not have a good night rest prior to the camp and going to bed late at night at a new place did not help much too...and lastly...many people do not know this but when im the "teacher" I AM more serious and i am different then when im in class mainly being me not wanting the participant to see the crazy and bubbly side of me ask PM Dr Annie how serious i was when i was at my practical! Enough abot me..lets go to other people...to all facilitators except Kamal and Abg Shah, i wrote you luv letters and what i felt and wrote is sincere and by no mean "lazering" pls dont take it the wrong way ok! Thank to Mr G, Miss Fatimah, En Farouk and Dr Norazman for the support and encouragement...you were the greatest..you all had given us the sense of confidence and a new perpective in the teaching of english...true enough there will never be a ring or a magic wand or pill that would give you the mastery of the language overnight but i believed that if we all work together we are that "magic" we are the "workers of a miracle"...only two days and we see the difference and imagine the lives of people we change in a lifetime as and English teacher in near future! This goes out to Dini, my dear what gives you the impresion that you did not perform well and how could you say you were not meant to be a teacher...you were being hard on yourself and costantly blaming yourself and thus lowering yourself esteem! In all the post mortem session we had never once i heard you ever saying you were good enough..you are smart and really good in the language and you know what? you are what i called the "new-breed" of teachers...fun, loving, cool, very hip and happening just like our lecturers and i truly believe you will be able to connect with the students...is that not what a teacher suppose to be, truly understanding and really able to connect with them...as for me most of the time i had difficulties to connect with them simply because i was not up-to-date enough in the music scene or other thigs for that matter, i am really traditional in my way of teaching and the only things that makes me what i am today is my passion and inspiration from my parents! and trust me i have seen many many teachers along the way and i know what makes an effective teacher.Thats all you are and what forever you will be-a great person and trust me great people makes great teachers...dont believe me look at Mr.G, Miss Fatimah, no!...wait...look at all our TESL lecturers...many of us i believe reflects the best in most of our lectures in our personality!
And lastly to Syarul...again and again you amazed by me with just how cool, calm and collected you were with the whole thing and i know you were dissatisfied with our performance and we are really sorry for not leaving up to your expectations and believe me you did great, we drew alot of strenght and support from you..and trust me i have been around you long enough to know what your face tells me!Hahaha! To that geko in our bathroom good luck in scaring the next batch of facilitators! To all bye and like Terminator...I'll be back! p/s: I AM NOT PAKCIK! I DONT CARE WHAT THAT BOY SAID AT THE CAMP, I AM NOT PAKCIK OK!

Huwaa, very tired...

Allo everyone, how r u all?Tired huh...That is what I feel today.I've read all the postings and it seems that the recent language camp had gave everyone some kind of experience, whether it is sweet or bitter. As for me, I have learnt a lot from the camp, especially on how to be a better person and working with other people. Frankly speaking, I know that I am not good enough and I don't have what it takes to be a teacher, but somehow, after seeing my adik-adik have overcome their fear to speak English, I was touched. That is why on the last day, I cried. Its not that i am 'mengada-ngada' or what. I really feel attached with them although it just 2 days I've known them. To Mr. G and to all my friends who went there, I'm so so sorry if I didn't performed well. Same goes to the material. The lessons that I learnt from the camp are we should always be prepared, be sensitive to other people's feeling and don't try to 'ikut our own kepala'. Congrats to Sharul because he was able to handle the camp well and cope with all the situations during that time.Just wanna tell you guys that I am just an ordinary person, don't expect too much from me. I have more weaknesses than my good qualities. At some point, I really feel that I can't really be a good teacher, cause I think,I'm not meant to be one. However, I should not give up halfway and should try my best to finish my degree, and then find job that really suits me. Okayla, I think I'm already out of topic. Let us focus on the coming camp and make improvements from the previous camps. Got to go now, babai!

Welcome back guys!!

Well, guess all those who went for the language camp had their own fun times and bad times too! i mean kinda "bad" times though! Anyway i heard you guys really enjoyed yourself despite the mosquito and the place. I got feedback that the floor was real dirty and you can hardly sleep because of the noises and mosquito. But anyway you guys gone through it right? So isn't that a good news? I heard that they were only 80+ students instead of the 180 students. Hhhhmmmm guess the rest was kinda "kiasu" ya! So since you guys are back gotta start doing all the killer assignments that are coming through the way!!! It's like neverending story ya! Finish 1 assignment comes another one! I wonder when will these finished? Well, I just want to say all the best for your thesis! Continue to pray for me lar since i'm still stuck half way!! Really need those prayers!! By the way I am glad to hear about you sham, finally discover your true self! Continue to live your dreams and strive for the best in your life! Well like you said you become a better person because of your girl. I totally agree with it because I know the encouragement and appreciation that the person you love gives! I wish you all the best, sham! And for the rest out there, quickly check out for girls and guys that is suitable for you! Not to say desperate but through my friend's experience it is hard to find your life partner when your are working! But for those who still wants to stay single, i have no saying because that is your choice! Well, we are not little kids anymore and we should think something good for ourself but not until you disobey your parents lar.:P so people see you all in class!!!!

Thanks...

Wassup!!
First post from the chosen Wan. Well, although I think it is a little bit late, I have to do it, right?
Hmm...Actually, I just feel like doing it tonight. Check the date pals, it just hours after we got home from the Language Camp. It was a tremendous experience. There are also a lot of thing I can reflect upon myself during the (almost) 2 days stay.
One thing for sure, I know Shamril Wan is back on the right track once more. I don't know why or how, it just something deep inside me that says this IS the time for a change. Thanks Dinie for the most encouraging message when I'm in need for such moral support. Thanks also to all of the others that dare to put their trust in me back again. Syarul, Kenneth, Shirley, Farrah, Dilla, and the rest; THANK YOU.
Thinking back of the experience at the camp, I was wondering until now, what made me choose to go. Then, surprisingly, one by one responsibilities (and trust) people put in me. From devising the theme song, facilitating the students, to being the Drama Guru of the camp, I'm successfully made it!
Anyway, just some space for some appreciation, I think what Shirley wrote to me is true. I become a better person because of my girl. Somehow I just want to be the best in her eyes. On the mean time, I don't want to pretend to someone that I'm not. I used to be respected, admired and have the reputation of being there among the top achievers. And as gift to what she turns me into, I want her to see me with those status.
Lastly, I thank you once more for those who support me. I also would like to thank to those who have underestimated my ability. "If it wasn't what you tried to do, I wouldn't know just how capable I am to pull through" (Christina Aguilera, Fighter) Thank you!
Long Lost Fighter

Boring Monday!!!

Hello people! So, how was the language camp? I am quite impress to see that those who joined the camp, especially my housemates (syaharil, kamal & adam)..well, they landed on their beds as soon as they arrived from the camp and hibernated until 11.00pm!!!Gosh!The camp must be either fun, tiring, explosive or the other way 'round! I did not dare to ask but I can see they are obviously happy..because last night...Nuri came over to our place and they were viewing some digital photoes that they've took during the camp. Anyway, I do agree upon Eve's message regarding the "SALE" ..WAH!!!Not bad for those who went and manage to grab something to spend on! Got hidden talents along with those "aunties" and some "kiasu" singaporean! Well, what can I say! Obviously similar! Anyway, I don't really went to the sale because I have some solid reasons that somehow bounds me. First, I do not have any interest with the sale(most of the things are for "family-typed people"), secondly; I think..err..I positively agree that my precious allowance shouldn't be littered in Jusco (I prefer to shop in KL) and lastly, I don't have the jusco card (don't you think it's awaste of money to pay RM12 a year and get a lousy mag. every two months...so cheap).Anyway, don't get me wrong here; I am not against Jusco..ermm, just that I am giving some healthy comments for them to improve (money wise=quality wise) Anyway, as I was saying just now about Jusco..there's one thing that I really annoyed to....The way they handle the traffics and about the trolley! Ok, the first point; the Jusco simply failed to take responsibility towards the traffics. There were massive jam and road blocks (parked cars as well as those aunties crossing the road).I am quite angry with the public as well, this showed that they are irresponsible. Second issues, the throlley. The Jusco did not allow those poor aunties (with two truck loads of goods) to push their carts to the parking lot outside Jusco. The reason is because they said the throlley will be abandon and littered all over the place. It is true allright....but..BUT....I believe the Jusco have a team of "trolley collector boys"..So, what's the use of these people if they did not bring back the trolleys...It's a waste of money to hire these people then?! I pitied the aunties with loads of things...they dragged their things all the way from Jusco to their cars.......Wosh..I can't believe that I am almost if not exactly sounded like one of the aunties...yikes!!!!!!! phew!!!My talk for today is obviously not-so-academic...
Well, that's all for now people?!!!Hey, do visit my page and leave me a message or two.......Lazy bone!!!
p/s: where is Roy!?Remember about your publicity!!!!! Come to my site or I'll.......jeng..jeng..jeng....

Hello people

hi there! So, how was the workshop.Too bad I couldn't make it to the meeting, something suddenly popped-up so I have to missed the meeting. Anyway, I just want to say that I'm sorry and a bit shame since I was not around when you guys struggling with all the things and preparations for the language camp tomorrow. I really feel bad regarding the meeting. Because I was bombarded by Syaharil.Well, he obviously thinks that I purposely skip the meeting for no reason. But, I don't really feel bad about him just that I was thinking about Dihah..Pity her, she must be tired of people asking her about me.By the way, I hope all of you will make it tomorrow for the camp.I mean, gosh..9am.That is obviously early;like you people are going to KL or Penang or somewhere?!The camp will be held in Johore area right?!anyway, too bad for some of you have to skip Dr. Annie's class. I'll make sure that I'll take all her notes and give attention to her lecture.Wicked!!!!Anyway, that's all for now..tata...

ARRGGHHHHHHH........

Hi there.........
I'm back on the track....guess what happened to me? The trip to Sunway was amazzzzzzingggg......haha......I was actually planning to stay there and for that reason I have to skip Mr G's class again...........haha....just kidding...sorry Mr G....for not informing you earlier.....about my absence....
I guess yesterday's class was great, right? I must confess that I have missed some interesting games....Actually, I'm quite sleepy....the trip was tiresome though.....and I hope I won't sleep in Mr G's class.....hehe.....

I read Damien's comment about the complaining and bashing others in meeting....Yeahhh...I guess maybe some of us have never thought about this but I believe Damien has made a good point for us to check here.....It's true that...some of us...I mean some.....really don't have that kind or type of ears that are willing enough to listen to others' ideas....in meeting.....and this is not positive....just remember...we work as a group...and I believe...everybody tries to give their best contribution to achieve the goals that have been set up....but....we have to choose the best idea, right?....maybe it's not the best for certain people but the most important is.....the idea should be beneficial for the most people in the group and not just a few important people.....think about it.....there's no point of meeting.....if everybody tries to...like Damien said.....kills others' ideas..without thinking about the importance of the idea to the group as a whole.....Like Damien said again....we have to learn to respect others' views and at the same time accept our own mistake....just....treat others the way you want to be treated........

As usual....Good Luck to those who are joining the language camp one tomorrow.....just try your best....and I hope verything will go on smoothly as planned....
