Telephone (zara)

COMMENT

This is a game about tongue twister . Tongue twisters ,it is a phrase or sentence  which is hard to speak fast ,because of  similar sounds of the words .It helps develop speech skills .All levels and ages enjoy tongue twisters ,they work well as a warm up to get student speaking ,and help them to practice pronouncing diffcult sounds in English . In this game ,we need prepared the tongue twisters depending on the different difficulties for students .

 GAME PLAN

Materials : pieces of paper
Variation :None ,it needs to be played in group


Preparation

The teacher needs prepare some pieces of paper to write tongue twisters ,and a watch for set the time limit .The students are divided into 5 groups .So the Tongue twisters need be prepared for 4 levels  ,because there are 4 rounds in the game in order to pick a winner group . Each level 's tongue twisters have a same word count .For instance , the tongue twisters of the first round have 6 words ,the second round has 8 words and so on .

Procedure

In the game , five groups should come into lines . when the game starts , each group member has no more than 30 seconds . If there are 5 persons in a group ,every round needs keep within 150 seconds then .In the game ,there are 4 rounds and after every round  , one group will be eliminate .The difficulty degree increases as the groups shrink . In the first round , teacher prepares 5 notes of tongue twisters on the table . When  teacher declares time start , the first one of each line  takes one note on the table and put it back after read it and keep it in mind . Then they back to their lines repeat the tongue twister that they remembered to the next group member .According to this , the second student need repeat it to the third one ,until it to the last one , the last student needs write the tongue twister as he or she heard on the whiteboard and read it loudly . The group that use the shortest time and most highest accuracy would be a winner .The important rule in the game is when the tongue twister is being repeat to the next one ,it cannot be with any hints but just in oral and speaking .

3.I scream ,you scream , we all scream for ice cream  .
4. Betty beat a bit of butter to make a better butter .
5 .Few free fruit flies fly from flames .
6.Fifty- five flags freely flutter from the floating frigate.

My reflection of the language camp(Zara)

Hi! Everyone !



Time goes to so fast , after planing a long time , finally we finished the one day's camp .Among that , I had many new experiences in my university life . In fact , as a exchange student , this is my first time that  participate in a negotiation camp . It was a unforgettable experience for me . Firstly , I feel very happy be in the camp , there are six games in the camp ,and all are in different types .Everyone was conscientious with the games . After one day 's negotiation ,I learned many things from my classmates and other participants ,experienced a lot as well . The camp was exciting , all of us were fully enjoy it .I believe every participant was benefit from it . Secondly , "tired ", from One day 's observed ,  I noticed that be a teacher is not a easy thing . It needs responsible  for every learner .And also need to be patient to them . But anyway, change to another word . this camp gave to me a lots of passion about language  .

What do I learn from the training session(Zara)

From this training session , I learned a lot for my own benefit . Our game 's name is Battle Ship . It is a game about learning vocabulary . We need prepared different lexical for the game , then divided students into groups to play it . Through it , I fully learned skills that will be useful for my English .First of all , I understood how to give the students a correct instruction and how to make the students be interested in the class . Secondly , the student's motivation is important for learning ,that's why teacher need to encourage the student to be motivated .And lastly ,I need improve my communication skills therefore I can easily understand the student's idea , and also I can relay my knowledge to them.

My responsibilities for the language camp (Zara)

On the day of negotiation camp , every one had responsibilities , such as facilitator or host . Before the camp started , I assisted my classmates to distribute the instruction books to the participants of the camp . I was also assigned to take photos during the session two . As a photographer of this camp , I keep every moment of memorize for every participants in the camp .Cause of the identity of exchange student , I also want to have some colorful memories . Even though my job was easy to do , I tried my best to finish all of it . I was both excited and honored to take part in the camp so that I can really learned a lot .
