WEBQUEST (20%): Instructions for participants.

PERSONAL ONLINE DIARY PROJECT

Create a new web diary account at www.diaryland.com.

If you have any problems, you may click HELP or FAQ link on the website. If you run into problems, again you may ask your teacher/lecturer.

Write at least 5 journal entries in English.

The contents of your entries must include comments about what had happened to you.

You are required to write at least 200 words in each entry.

All entries should be written on different dates. Enrties writen on the same date will be considered as 1 entry.

You are required to respond to 5 of your classmates’ journal entries. The length of each comment should be between 50 to 100 words.

SHARED WEBLOG PROJECT (Codename: Gameplan)

Gameplan shared is a shared weblog that provides students with the opportunity to publish their Language Camp project reports.

Post 5 entries or project reports to Gameplan weblog located at http://gameplan.blogspot.com. 4 progress report should be posted before the project commences and 1 post mortem report to be posted after the project is completed.

Each article should have at least 200 words.

Post 5 comments to the the entries made in Gameplan weblog. The length of each comment should be between 50 to 100.

Rules and regulations

The whole tasks must be completed by Tuesday, 14 February 2002.

Any late works or papers will be marked down by- 1 mark PER DAY LATE, regardless of excuse.

Any technical difficulties are NOT an acceptable excuse for missing or late work.

Keep a backup copy of all your work on a disk and learn how to use the various computer labs.

It is never acceptable to use someone else’s words without attribution.

It is never acceptable to use someone else’s original thoughts (even different words) without attribution.

You are allowed to use graphics and photos from other sources, but you must tell your reader.

Your entries must consist of your original work.

The use of all sources (other people’s ideas, quotations, and paraphrases from published work including the text book and the internet must be properly and strictly documented). Unless instructed otherwise, assume that you must use UTM style for citation.

5 comments on your classmates' guestbook.
5 comments on Gameplan's guestbook. (Gameplan weblog shares the same guestbook with the Gamemaster.)
Marks will only be awarded if you complete the above tasks.

Marks:
Maximum of 5 marks for the entries on Diaryland. (1 entry = 1 mark)
Maximum of 10 marks for the comments collected on your guestbook. (1 comment = 1 mark)
Maximum of 5 marks for the entries on Gameplan (1 entry = 1 mark)
