post camp
hi to all.... by now i've been hearing a lot form both group for the Language Camp.... Overall both group did enjoyed a lot in the camp. Some really enjoyed especially staying overnight in the foster parents' house..... almost all very friendly and considerate foster parents.... some even ate more than what they are supposed to eat:) after the camp i learned about the conditions of learning English in the rural area, then the live there where no fans and the toilet is far away from home..... so we should cherish whatever we have here now. Actually the students' proficiency level aren't that bad as we expected...so we should salute the English teachers there in putting in so much effort in teaching the students' English....the students know a lot of vocabulary...... just that they can't produce a complete sentence.....I think if the teachers stress more on grammar, the students will sure to write at least a good short, correct grammatical sentence. After graduating, most of us might be posted to the rural areas, so this language camp might be a good time for us to learn somethings which can be applied in the teaching in rural areas in the future..... on the other hand, it gave us the experience of staying in the rural areas...not sure of others but i really learned a lot from the camp.....:)
