Camp Chores!

Reflection 2
Language Camp Tasks

For the Language Camp, every 3rd year TESLians are given several different tasks to perform. Each individual?s effort has contributed to the upcoming of the Language Camp. I am given the task of Photography and Documenting. Together with Sal, Len, Vim and Shai, we are required to edit each and everyone?s manual. Each manual is divided into facilitator?s manual and students?s manual. We sacrificed one of our weekends to complete the manuals. To tell the truth, the job wasn?t as easy as I thought. We had to brainstorm together in order to produce an error proof manual. We were quite positive about the outcome of the manuals. To our favour, everyone liked it. Nothing would have made us more happy than receiving good responds.

The responsibility that gave me a hard time is to be in the cheerleading group. As it was a new exposure to me, I let the professional handle the job. I should say, Len and Mimie had done a wonderful job in selecting the cheers and choreographing the steps. All I can do was to join in the fun and give my morale support. It was fun to be one of the cheerleaders.

Rewards preparation responsibility came over to Aso, Vim, Diana and me. In the beginning, we were lost. However, after a thorough discussion, we decided to use round shapes stickers as rewards. The group with the most round shapes stickers, is declared the overall winner. But, sorry to say, we were unable to do it due to our hectic schedule. We came up with the fastest and easiest way which was to buy the round shapes! It made our life easier.

Among the responsibility assigned to me, being one of the facilitators is the toughest job, I suppose. Thank God, a sweet character like Watie, made things easier for me. We are assigned to the Group Pink Cat! Hope we could bring the best from our Pink Cats! To other cats out there, beware. Pink cats going to knock you out!
