What do I learn from the training session (Epaa)

Assalamualaikum and Hi

Our training session has ended and we all had a lot of fun during the training session. I was so excited to go to the class because of the games. All of the games are interesting. One of the things that I learned during the training session is to make sure that we do demonstration before we proceed with the game. This is because the students might not be able to understand just by listening to our instructions. They need to be shown how to play the game first so that they will understand how the game works.

In addition, I also learn that it is most preferable if we can create a game that can make all of the students participate in the lesson and they all can play the game on the same time. Avoid games that require the students to complete the tasks by taking turns because while the students is completing the tasks, the other students will tend to do other things that are not related with the lesson. There is high possibility that the students might lose focus.

Other than that, I had misunderstood with one of the instruction given by Mr G. I was supposed to be helping Intan to conduct her game and I thought that I would only be helping her in preparing the materials and also checking on the students’ answers. I was not aware that I also need to talk and give instructions during the training session. My apologies for the misunderstanding

From the training session, I have been exposed with a lot more ideas on how to make my lesson interesting. I just wish that we had taken this class before we went for our teaching practical.

That is all from me, thank you J

Yes. I also wish we learnt all the games before we went for our teaching practice. It would have been helpful for us in preparing lesson for our students.
