Precious Moments of Play Day

Assalamualaikum and hi to everyone J
Honestly I was and I am still happy with The Play Day that we have done on 18th February 2006, at Dewan Seri Alam in Kolej Tun Fatimah (KTF). I think this is our first gathering after having our practicum and sharing the precious and beautiful moments together. Everything was going well until we heard the news that Lenny bump into an accident. Oh my goodness! I hope that she will be fine and nothing worse happened. However it did not distract our mood to start the games.
I conducted the(Magic Box) games which was on the second out of twelve games. Before the game, I felt quite worried and nervous if I could not run it as well as we planned. While playing the game, I was surprised looking how eager and excited our friends. They are very naughty and excited to take turns asking questions. In the beginning of the game, I was almost loss controlled however I was very lucky, my partner, Nursyariza Hanim tried hard to cover it. Here, I would like to send my special gratitude to my partner, Hanim who gives fully commitment and cooperation in creating and implementing our ?Magic Box? game. To Mr. G, thanks a lot for your comments and opinions about our game. Even it is sometimes painful, we took it as positive to improve our game. It is good guidance for me and my friends to be more careful, creative and so on soon.
I got many things during the Play Day. It is a good time to practice and test our own game because we knew the strength and weaknesses of our game. We got ideas, comments and opinions from our friends and Mr. G before implementing it in language camp. The play day is a time to gather all Teslians of our batch. This is time for us sharing happiness, sadness and craziness, knowing and being closed to each other. We enjoyed all of the games very much. We spent almost half day together at Dewan Seri Alam, having breakfast, lunch, performing Zuhur prayer and clearing the place together. During playing the games, even sometimes we got misunderstanding or arguing to each other, it is a process of growing to be an adult and we need to be open minded and brave to be able accepting our weaknesses. As a future teacher, I learnt that I should try to memorize all the names of my students and should not tell them that I do not know their names because they will felt out of the class and it is de-motivating them. According to Krashen, when the effective filter like pressure, de-motivating and others is high, the students will face problem to get the input in the class.
To Mr. G, I am very sorry to say this. However, at least we learnt something positive from that.
Lastly I want to say thank you, to Bae and the gang who organized the play day, for their work hard and commitment, and to my friends who gave full cooperation during the game and lastly to Mr. G who guided my friends and I to be successful future teacher soon.
