Reflection 1
Play Day
?That?s a relief!? Those were the first words I uttered to Asotha, my team mate, once we had finished with our language game presentation. We did a game on tongue twister which is called the ?Chinese whisper?. The purpose of the ?Play Day? which was held on the 18 February 2006 was to give the 3rd year TESL students an exposure to conducting games for the Language Camp. After playing each of the games, the plus and minus points of that particular game was highlighted. This was to ensure that the game would be an error proof during the camp. I learn that games involve many factors; rules, competition, relaxation and learning, in particular. The day was packed with exciting and fun games. I noticed that, while playing those games, competition was very important because it stimulated and encouraged us to participate in the activity since naturally we wanted to beat the other teams. While playing, we had fun, relax, exercise and tease one another. Apart from having fun, we learn at the same time. It brought me back to my school days. Cheering and encouraging one another. Despite the fact that we lost at some games, we were happy for those who won. That?s the strength of mind which I liked in my friends. It was a day to add into my memoirs. Before I wrap up my reflection, I would like to extend my heartiest congratulation to each and evryone of the 3rd year TESLians for their never-ending determination and support. The ?Play Day? was a great success. This wouldn?t be possible, if not for the trust one kind soul had in us. Thank you, Mr.G.

Well…Poo is a very nice and helpful girl. Whenever you need her help, she never hesitates to offer her help. She has a good English proficiency and the most important thing is that she never looks down at people who are poor in English like me….hehe….After this play day…I actually have another point of view towards her. First of all, before the play day…I felt that she is quite a serious girl, not the one that crazy about playing or having fun….however….after the play day…I realized that she actually can become another person when it comes to having fun. Poo…I think you lost yourself during the games…..well I think only one word …“PlAY” circulates in your mind. You are basically turned out to be a very active girl….and you enjoyed all the games. I was so impressed with you. You did a great job especially when you played ‘the pyramid’. You and Aso excelled during this game. You can actually give very good and clear clues to Aso. Keep on…..have fun. Nice to meet the brand new you…hehe.
