Hello and good day readers.
Speaking of the training session that was conducted in class, I think it was very useful for us to know how to actually conduct games in classrooms. The training sessions have taught me that it is never wrong to actually improvise your activities or games during the actual lesson. During the training sessions, many useful amendments was done in order to suit the games with the students' level and capability, the classroom environment and so on. For instance, when my game which was the 'Word String' game was conducted along with my teaching partner, Aqilah Husna, some improvements were made like not clapping during the game as it became really noisy as well as some other change of rules. From this, I could see that even if you have planned a certain lesson for the class, you can still improvise it according to the current situation of the classroom and make the game simpler and suitable.
Adding on, I have learnt many different language games that could be played in the classroom which I have never taught of before; not even during my practical teaching, which was rather regretful. The creative and fun games done by my other classmates really grabbed my interest and I think if those many games were conducted in classrooms, surely students will always look forward to a teacher's lesson. Last but not least, language games and the training sessions have exposed the flexibility that a lesson plan can have and there are no limits to it.
Hope you enjoyed reading. Thank you.
Hi Amira. I thought that your game was also one of the interesting game that the teacher could conduct in the English class. It was challenging and fun though.
