My Responsibilities for the Language Camp ( Dolly)

       Good day to all.

       I was responsible for the registration as well as one of the facilitators for the language camp. For the registration, my partner was Mira Awang. Both of us agreed to have different task to do in order to let the language camp going on smoothly. Thanks God, she is a good partner and also a cooperative person. In details, my job in the registration department is to prepare the name list for the different courses so that we can alert on the participants’ attendance during the camp (in the morning as well as after the break session). Besides that, my department also have to prepare few stickers which is in line with the objectives of the camp such as to motivate the participants to engage in the game actively.

      Apart from the registration department, I was also the facilitator for the camp. For me, being a facilitator is not an easy job. By hook or by crook, we should make sure ourselves understand with the rules as well as the procedure in implementing the game. I am aware of the target participants that I am going to have which are the adult learners in which the way we interact or doing the explanation of the games to them are totally different from the way we teach secondary school students. Facilitators have to make sure the participants understand the instructions well as well as try to engage with them as much as possible. For example, smile, talk or even praise them when they are doing something that are positive to the camp. We might also ask about their interest so that they will be friendlier and not awkward toward each other.

       All in all, I enjoy the camp and I am glad to work with my classmates.
