Choosing the Game for the Training Session~

Hi everyone,

Choosing the right game for the training session was not an easy job to be done. In order to make the game become interesting and meaningful, I need to come up with the best game that is probably become the chosen one. In spite of that, the theme for the game is fixed which is about environment. When the theme was fixed, I found it’s quite hard to create a fun language game. Well, every problem must have its own solution. I managed to create a game based on the theme that suits the requirements of learning English while playing a language game. The game that I have created was the Endless Story game. This game was about creating sentences spontaneously and coherently in a short time. Students must be creative in creating the sentences because when one of the group member does not coherently continues the previous sentences made by the other group members, they need to start it all over again.  

In fact, I found this game is actually interesting if I make it simpler by asking the students to create only two short and understandable sentences. This game is suitable for intermediate to high level learners. You can variants the game by providing other themes such as fairytale, famous people, hobbies and etc.
