AFTER THE LANGUAGE CAMP'S DAY (LANGUAGE CAMP A)

          After the language camp, we were totally exhausted and worn out yet I believe that all of us (the facilitators) had a fun and great day with all the participants. They were really cute and pure “little fella”…. and it was such a pleasure to entertain them. I also believe that all of us felt grateful and relieved that the language camp was generally successful, although there were some mistakes which I think can be good things to reflect upon to in order to be a good teacher-to-be.
We had “Post-mortem” session with Mr. Ghazali about the flaws and fillers that should be improvised in the future. There are:
·             Safety – We need to assign or elect a person in charge for the aspect of safety as it is a precaution to avoid any bad things that can happen during the language camp day.
·               Cleanliness - We need to assign people in charge so in order  to ensure the cleanliness
                       of the place.
·           Discipline  - We need to assign people in charge so in order  to ensure the flow of the                                                  day.
·          Protocol - We need to assign people in charge so in order  to ensure the flow of the                             
                       day.
·         Prizes and certificates - We need to assign people in charge so in order  to ensure the flow of the day.
·         Food and beverages – We need to select a person in charge of food and beverages as
                                      some of the students are Vegetarian
·         Materials - We need to select a person in charge of materials in order to ensure that all of the                                     materials are enough for every group.
       
         When looking at the teaching and learning view, I think I should be really careful with my grammatical error when I speak or give instruction to students. Even though grammar is not being emphasized in speaking, but I think I should set a good example for them. Last but not least, I agree with Mr. Ghazali when he said that we should try all the activities first before implement them  in language camp. This is because some of the activities are not suitable for the students as all the activities do not match with their level of proficiency. He also said that we need to be more creative when creating game because it can attract students' attention in the learning and teaching process. They are not only enjoying themselves with the games, but subconsciously learn and acquire the language.
