Wow~! the language camp is getting closer.. Are you guys excited? I am. :)
Anyways, today I want to talk about the ice breaking games again. Although we have this Friday to the rehearsal , I wanted to make things clear before the actual rehearsal so that you guys know a little about it. To add on, I actually wanted some opinion.
According to the title of the game, I guess by now you know that the game involves themes.
I come up with the theme of :
1)food (10 people including faci)
2)vehicles (10 people including faci)
3)celebrities (10 people including faci)
4)fruits (10 people including faci)
5)stationaries(10 people including faci)
What do you guys think? Any other suggestions or changes of theme? If there is any, please comment, because I need to print these things according to the theme by Thursday. So if you have interesting things to say, please do so quickly, Alright? ^^
After that game, we will play the game that we played before. The ones that involve the questions and rotation in the circle that Mr G introduce us. For this game, I am wondering whether we should stick to these questions:
1) My name is_______.
2)I am from________.
3) My problem is______.
Should we do the same or we do differently? Do you guys have any ideas? To make it interesting, they need to rotate when the music stops. hehe. Interesting right?
Since these 2 games are the games that they will play in the beginning, we seriously need to make it interesting and fun so that we can have their attention. So we(Lin Han &me) NEED you guys cooperation in helping us out.I feel that everyone should participate in the ice breaking game in order for the students to get to know the faci. What do you think?
Thank you for reading this. Please comment away. As I needed that as well to fulfill the requirements of this blog. :)
Hi Qila, I would like to know are the facis going to involve in the grouping process too? Which means they are not being allocated before that, right?
ReplyDeleteYes. The facilitators will be involve in the grouping process. I will need need them because I wanted them to be in the group as well. After the ice breaking game, they will not have to be inside the group. :)
ReplyDeleteHI, Qila, I agree with u, its better we(facis) play the game together. Some students may not very clear about the rules or shy to talk, then our role in the group as the model or demo to them to cheer them up. And if we notice someone is not willing to play the game, we should go to him/her to invite or encourage him/her to participant.
ReplyDeleteeverything sounds good so far. however, for the questions for the rotation game, I think it would be better to change the last question with another because it is not appropriate to ask them about their problems while they are supposed to have fun, right? My suggestion is to ask them about their expectation of the camp.
