My contribution to the language camp
1. Equipment
Before:
I was in charged of equipment with Jeyavany. Firstly, Jeya asked sulia the check list of equipments that we needed for the language camp from the school. Then, we find out that we need Heller and collar mike for the language camp. So, the first step we took was went to HEP and asked the permission to get the Heller and collar mike. But, they told us that those were booked for the "KONVOKESYEN". Next, they told us to find out the availability of those equipments from "Bilik Pinjaman Peralatan". Then, we went there but were disappointed because those were not available that moment. After that, we told MR.G about the problem and he said doesn't matter but we have to use our voice as alternative. Before the camp, we asked the facilitators to borrow extension wires and laptops. Thanks a lot to all the facilitators. We also brought a radio as a alternative. Then, we conformed with DR.NORAZMAN that availability of all the equipments during the language camp.
During:
The 1st day of the camp, we have divided the laptops and extension wires among the headquarters. During the camp, we always make sure that there is enough equipment for each activity. MR.YUSOF, the warden of STARP, really helped us a lot. He gave me the key of the "BILIK KAUNSELING" so that we can put all the equipments there.
After:
We check back again the equipments before we move from the STARP. Everything went smoothly because the guidance of MR.G, DR.NORAZMAN. I also should appreciate all the facilitators for the successful of the language camp.
2. The game master for NIE:
I worked with Fadhli
very helpful partner. We managed to collect sufficient news papers. We did a sample of mahjong paper and a printed paper as guidance for the game.
3. Facilitator for language camp C :
I have worked with AZRA, AZMA SHEREENA, BECCA, KHAIRI and KAK NORA. They were very good team mates. My group name was"Jimmy Neutron". I really had a good time with my students
I should tell here that I really enjoyed the language camp. The "enjoy" is not the sense of fun, but more towards learning process in a different way. Firstly, I am well versed of the games that have been conducted in language camp. I hope that I can apply it in my classroom later. Secondly, I have learned on how to get attention from the students. I can tell that now I know how to divide tasks for different level of students.
I was really impressed when the students whom where passive at the beginning shown their commitment and hard work during the drama preparation. So, I find out that when a teacher guides the students in the way they like, and then they can achieve their target. The, I learnt on how to be patient. This is because I was very patient sometimes when the students disobey the rules.

ReplyDeleteIt’s so true that we’ve learned a lot throughout the camp. Thanks for taking care of our equipments during the camp. I do understand your situation when it comes to passive participants. Me and Ammani also have the same situation. But, surprisingly, towards the end of the camp, the passive one tends to turn the opposite way, right? That’s really a kind of satisfaction to us as a faci, right? Last but not least, all the best for the exams. “GaNBaTTe!!”

until now i still cannot comprehend the perplxing mystery of the extension cables which consistently went missing after each session. The moment i put it down, it disappears...then some time later it appears again somewhere else. Behold...an unsolved mystery...
ReplyDeleteello gurl,
ReplyDeleteluckily you didnt miss any of my extension wires.. otherwise, haaa~ i'll kill you and jeya. ekekeke! just joking. anyway, you did a good job during the ELC. really, i mean it, with no doubt. Congrats!
hi shamini, seems like all the members in Camp B are so supportive and coopertive. just look at the comment, how come u got 18 and i just 8 hah? it's not fair...anyway thanks for ur comment...but i think you should redo it..make it four lines or else it will not be valid. talking bout ur role as a fc during the camp, i'm sure that u did a great job. know why? because u r so friendly, kind-hearted and approachable. ur small physical made u look like the kids n that's y u can mingle with them easily...hehe..don't get mad... nway, i can know it based on other people's story..no bad talking...so, dont worry... k shamini, good luck for ur final...that's all..bubye.
