ENGLISH LANGUAGE CAMP 2007 ( CAMP B) -UTM &  STAR PUTRA; KULAI 

"We Even Dreams In English"

 

Assalammualaikum W.B.T and Hola;

 

Congratulation for 3SPL-Teslians. We make it! Both of our English Language Camp 2007 (CAMP A and B) were successful accomplished.   These were included in our course syllabus of the subject English Language Games.  We gained many experiences throughout this semester. We learn many things include team spirit as well as the skills of critical thinking. We were able to cooperate with each other's successfully. We always help each other's in the situations needed. Well Done!

 

Before The Camp

As for me, I was assigned to be the leader of "Bureau of Souvenirs" and in charge for drama preparation and drama presentation (with my other talented colleagues Azra and Shazwani)   …and my responsibilities start from that day (which sulia assigned me to design the t-shirt..) onward …This is include designing the shirts, allocating and proposing the budget for our bureau, making decisions for my bureau, buying gifts and souvenirs as well as materials needed   , wrapping + labels improvised, designing for the token-bookmarks (improvise what have been done by azma actually + proceed with printing and cutting it  as well),  design for the tags for participants and facilitators [B]..and shared with ELCamp[A] , designs the TESL unofficial logo, unused batch,  designing the banner for our drama presentation+ proceed to 'chonteng" the design with azra and fazziana, Label for Participants ELC(B) file, and Sticker for the token. I also preparing the Diagram for "Battleship" for my group in a way to have a better picture of the game.(credits to ELC[A]facilitators as they willing to share their experiences with us), as well as preparing the materials and forms needed for Drama Slot. Alhamdullilah, We managed to complete our jobs in time. Thanks to my capable assistants: Dayang and Azma plus the other colleagues as well Azra, Shazwani and "hidden hands" Siti Hajar, Fazziana and Nabilah as well as ELC (A) friends such as Fatin Nuraini, Fiqa, ana, awer, aida, and others. We managed to finish the jobs fwens!!

My Precious times are the mid semester break; whereby I need to survive alone in my college learning critically to use the new software called ADOBE PHOTOSHOP that we just learnt at the beginning of the semester Maybe for some people it just "PHOTOSHOP", but to me who know nothing and starting from 0; the software means everything. Thanks to my ancient laptop n moral supports from others.   

 

Throughout the ELCamp at STAR Putra

 

Due to the Space Constrain; in points form I'm describing the contributions.

l      One of the Facilitators in charged.

l      Facilitator of Group C ( Cartoons' Character)

l      Facilitator of small group - "Sinchan" with Becca and Khairi.

l      Assist the students  during the camp. Motivate them & try to overcome their fear in English. Give attention more to passive students

l       Cooperate with the others facilitators to 'transform' the passive students to b active students.( It kindda indescribable satisfaction to us : Common guys! It is the time to use your charms in the right context. Use your charm wisely fwen)

l      Students and Facilitators Name Tags distribution.

l      Make preparation for the Drama Preparation and Presentation slots, briefing & conduct the minor slots.

l      In charge for the Drama Preparation and Presentation Briefing as well as "The Puzzling Battle Ship"

l      Partner with Fazziana in Treasure Hunt at one of the checkpoints.( we bullied the students..hahahha)

l      Brainstorming session + minor post mortem for the 1st day.

l      Prepared for the Drama Presentation Stage II  Slot  (need to hang up the Drama Presentation Banner Khairi as well.

l      Prepared and arranged  the souvenirs for the closing.

 

The slots that I enjoyed most with the students : Happy Melodies + Drama' slots

 

After the camp

What have i learned???

l      Team Spirit

l      Act confidently.

l      Satisfaction

 

Other than that, I had prepared the balance accounts for my bureau and others expenses and pass it to our treasurers include the balance and receipts. We managed to expense wisely and under the budgets given.

 

Closing

Thanks to Mr.G for your great critics, advices and opinions that make me gained something from this subject. I do appreciate it so much. U teach us to rely on ourselves. As for Dr. Norazman; which father alike to us. Thanks a bunch!   To all 3SPL classmates. We managed to do it! Another memorable history to us! Sorry and Thanks for Everythings.
