Hi guys!
I guess this is my final reflection for the language camp. Before I forget, I would like to remind all of us to post comments to each other of the reflections that we have done, ok.
So, we have settled with the camp. Even tough the camp only took us for 2 days, however all the memories that we have been through during the camp was still linger in my mind. Frankly, I enjoyed the camp although there were certain aspects that I think can be improved in future and this must be taken under consideration for the next TESL students. All that I want to say below perhaps are some useful advice for our TESL juniors to improvise the language camp in future. Yet, before that, we are all human beings right? We know that we are not perfect, but we just want to be the best.
First of all, organizing a language camp is not an easy task to do. We need to sit back, discuss, brainstorming and united as a team. Planning is an utterly crucial element. The language camp must be very well-planned. We have to look through many aspects starting from the distribution of tasks until the way we organize the camp. There must be certain strategies to make sure the language camp will be smoothly done.
One important part of it is the allocation of tasks. From my point of view, in future, maybe we need to discuss among ourselves in order to allocate the tasks. List down all the division of tasks on the board and distribute the tasks reasonably so that everyone will get the opportunity to do the right tasks based on their skills and experienced. This is because of certain tasks we need people who have the credibility to do the tasks without hesitation. As we know, we are going to organize a big event, so I think it is appropriate for us to allocate someone who is practically good at one task to supervise the task efficiently.
In terms of strategies, the key point is unified. We work as a team, so all the members must be stick together, helping each other and always be united. As I could see, we are interrelated and connected to each other during the language camp however maybe in certain aspects there are still rooms for improvement. Nevertheless, we did it very well guys, as we could overcome many difficulties during the camp successfully.
Overall, I supposed we all have done our own best and try to do the best for the language camp. I admit that we cannot run from doing mistakes. Yet, I think that we all should not go against the mistakes rather than we should learn from the mistakes. My last words are we should be proud of our own self because we actually rock at the language camp. We are the best and forever the best. Thank you so much, guys. Love ya?.

ReplyDeletehi nim...good reminder :-)...guys, do leave your comments or you will not get any comments + marks..ten marks guys, what a waste if you only need to comment :-). Remember that we have many Paul Moss in our class :-).
Well, I am totally agree with your thought. Everything need to be planned accordingly and systematically starting from the very first till the end. Yes, we need expert in certain areas but what is done is done. Let us take this as useful lessons to be more observant and cautious in the future. For our juniors, learn from our mistakes. It is not wrong to do mistakes but it become the biggest mistake ever if you never learn from the mistakes. Though we lack in parts of our performance in this camp but as a whole i think we did great. Good luck guys!

hi anem..
ReplyDeletei guess u'r right.. it would have been better if we volunteered for handle the committee ourselves instead of someone assigning us to our respective committee. the idea of listing down the tasks for all to see is a great idea for a small group like us.will bear that in mind..thanks

ReplyDeletei'm also agree with you when you said that we have to sit back, brainstroming, and give full corporation during the english camp. that is what team work is all about.everything must be done together it is because this project (english language camp) belong to our team the cosmic tesLian.

ReplyDeleteMy dearest roomate, Miss Hanim..
I agree with you that it is will be better if we discuss and sit together before allocating any task. It is crucial to know the preference field of our friends. So they will complete their task happily and comfortable. o.k. That's all from me.

ReplyDeleteI want to thank you for your comments anem..thank you
I must say that I agree with all your suggestions and advices for the next teslians who are going to organize another language camp later..
Planning, allocation of tasks, strategies and the unity of a group, especially between us, the facilitators should be good and well-planned All these are some important aspects to take into consideration to make sure the camp will be successfully done..
It is true that we learn from mistakes and it should not be a reason to blame ourselves, right? We just take it as a precious thing that make us a better human being, from day to day..
